Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has expressed solidarity with students protesting over concerns surrounding the education system, saying their movement should not be hijacked for political purposes.
In a social media post, Khan said he was saddened that what began as a peaceful movement had taken a violent turn. He expressed sympathy for the students and their families who were affected, while emphasizing that issues such as paper leaks are extremely serious.
The actor praised the students for coming together and raising their voices for a better and stronger education system. He also appreciated the support extended by parents, describing the students’ dedication, sincerity, courage and determination to build a better future through education as inspiring.
Khan said the issue should remain focused on students and the education system, stressing that the movement should not be used for political gains. He expressed hope that the government would listen to the students, address their concerns and work towards strengthening the country’s education system.
He further said that the credit for the movement should go to the students who came forward to peacefully raise their concerns.
Khan also shared a broader vision for India’s education sector, saying that education should become the country’s next major trend and aspiration. He expressed hope that India could eventually become a global educational hub, attracting students from across the world.
“The future of India is educated youth,” Khan’s message underlined, highlighting the importance of education in shaping the country’s future.
