The Government of Nagaland has decided to continue issuing Inner Line Permits (ILPs) through the offline mode for a limited period, even as the online system remains functional.
In a press release issued on Friday, Commissioner Vikeyie Kenye stated that this temporary arrangement has been made to support ongoing upgrades to the ILP portal. The move is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted access to ILPs while technical improvements are carried out.
The offline facility will remain in place until the online platform is fully streamlined and capable of handling all applications efficiently. The state government has reiterated its commitment to shifting entirely to a digital system once the enhancements are completed.
The ILP is a mandatory entry document for non-residents entering Nagaland, aimed at protecting the interests of indigenous communities in the state.
