11th July 2026: Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, B. Henok Phom, on Friday launched FoodWiFi, a homegrown food delivery app aimed at supporting local businesses and creating employment opportunities in Nagaland. FoodWiFi CEO Anato Sema said the platform is designed to create income opportunities for students and unemployed youth by enabling them to work as delivery partners.
Editorial Opinion (Dimapur Today): The launch of a locally developed digital platform like FoodWiFi is an encouraging step for Nagaland’s startup ecosystem. Homegrown digital entrepreneurs can create jobs, strengthen local businesses, reduce dependence on outside platforms, and keep more economic value within the state. If supported by the public and local businesses, such initiatives can contribute to a more self-reliant digital economy.
