DSSU to Hold Peaceful Protest in Dimapur Over Education System Concerns

Dimapur, July 24: The Dimapur Sümi Students’ Union (DSSU) has announced a peaceful protest on July 25, 2026, to raise concerns over issues affecting India’s education system.

According to a press release issued by DSSU, the protest will be held from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Supermarket, Dimapur. The demonstration aims to draw attention to concerns including the need for greater transparency, fairness, accountability, equal educational opportunities and reforms to strengthen the education system.

The union also highlighted nationwide concerns over examination integrity and called for the issues to be addressed through constructive dialogue.

DSSU stated that the protest will be conducted peacefully and in accordance with the law. It appealed to participants to maintain discipline, respect public property, cooperate with authorities and ensure that the demonstration remains non-violent.

The union further called upon the concerned authorities to engage with stakeholders and take meaningful steps to improve the education system in the interest of students and the future of the nation.
