Dimapur Police Announces ₹50,000 Reward for Information on Khopanulla IED Blast Case

Public Urged to Share Credible Information; Identity of Informants to Remain Strictly Confidential

Dimapur, July 17: The Office of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, has issued a public notice announcing a cash reward of ₹50,000 for any credible information that helps in the investigation of the IED blast that occurred on July 13, 2026, at Khopanulla, Chümoukedima ‘A’.

According to the notice, the Dimapur Police Commissionerate is conducting an intensive investigation to identify and apprehend all individuals responsible for planning, facilitating, executing, or aiding the terrorist attack.

The reward will be given for information leading to:

  • Identification or arrest of the perpetrators or their associates.
  • Identification of persons involved in planning, financing, harbouring, transporting, or facilitating the offence.
  • Recovery of explosives, explosive components, weapons, communication devices, vehicles, or any other incriminating material connected to the case.
  • Discovery of any hideout, safe house, or logistical support network linked to the offenders.

Members of the public with any relevant information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, have been urged to immediately contact the investigation team at 7085055003 or 7085055011. Both numbers are also available on WhatsApp.

Police have assured that the identity of every informant will be kept strictly confidential and protected in accordance with the law. Anonymous information may also be shared. The reward will be granted after verification that the information has materially contributed to the detection of the case, recovery of evidence, or apprehension of the offenders, subject to approval by the competent authority.

The Dimapur Commissionerate has appealed to all citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies, stating that all information received will be acted upon promptly and discreetly.

The notice was issued by Aotula T. Imchen, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, in the interest of public safety and national security.
