Today, around 2:20 PM, while riding my scooty from CHISR Hospital (4th Mile) to the DC Office, Chumukedima, I was struck by a speeding silver ECO car after crossing the Stone Crusher area (5th Mile). I had no pillion rider.

The driver didn’t stop. I was left crawling in pain in the middle of the highway, helpless. By the grace of God, I survived with minor injuries. I immediately went to the Traffic Police Office at 7th Mile and filed an FIR.

To the driver: I know it wasn’t intentional, and I would have forgiven you if you had stopped. But fleeing could have cost lives — yours or someone else’s. Please, drive carefully next time.

I am still waiting for your personal apology. You don’t need to make it public — just reach out to me privately, and I will forgive you. It’s not too late to do the right thing.

To everyone reading this: life is fragile, and every choice on the road matters. Someone is waiting for you at home. Drive responsibly. #SaveLives
