The Lok Janshakti Party (Ramvilas) organized a Youth Convention Meeting at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, where youth leaders from across the nation gathered to discuss pressing issues concerning their states.During the event, Nagaland State Youth President of LJP (RV), Shri Ikiho K Yeptho, raised a strong appeal to the national leadership, emphasizing the urgent need for economic development and job creation in Nagaland, particularly in the Food Processing sector. Shri Yeptho highlighted that Nagaland currently has one of the highest unemployment rates in India and emphasized the potential of food processing industries to be a key driver for change. He urged the National President of LJP (Ramvilas) and Union Cabinet Minister, Shri Chirag Paswan, to consider recommending the establishment of a separate Directorate Office of Food Processing Industries (FPI) in Nagaland.> “With a dedicated Directorate Office in the state, we can streamline central schemes, generate revenue, reduce unemployment, and create sustainable benefits for the youth of Nagaland,” he stated. He also pointed out the availability of numerous Central Government-sponsored schemes under FPI, including subsidy loans and support for organic farming, fruit and vegetable processing, and other unique local produce. He stressed that proper implementation of these schemes through a localized FPI Directorate would empower farmers, entrepreneurs, and the unemployed youth alike. The convention concluded with an encouraging response from the central leadership, who acknowledged the concerns and promised further deliberations on the matter.
