Dimapur, October 22: Advisor to Chief Minister and Secretary General of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), Abu Metha, has extended his congratulations to Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio on being elected as the President of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) — calling it “another historic milestone in an illustrious and unparalleled journey of leadership.”

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Metha wrote:

“Congratulations Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio on being elected as the President of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) — another historic milestone in an illustrious and unparalleled journey of leadership. I am truly honoured and humbled to be elected as Working President, and to serve under your inspiring guidance and vision.”

Abu Metha has been a close associate and aide of Neiphiu Rio for over two decades, having worked with him since the early 2000s during Rio’s tenure as Chief Minister under the NPF banner. Their long-standing political partnership continued through the formation of the NDPP in 2017, where Metha played a key role in shaping the party’s organizational and communication strategy.

The development marks a significant moment in Nagaland’s political landscape, signaling continued unity and collaboration within the regional political movement.
