Business Body Calls Attack a Threat to Nagaland’s Hard-Earned Peace, Urges Public Cooperation with Authorities

Dimapur, July 17: The Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) has strongly condemned the recent bomb blast in Chümoukedima district that claimed the life of a security personnel and left four others seriously injured.

In a press release, the apex business body expressed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the speedy and complete recovery of the injured personnel.

Describing the incident as a reprehensible act of violence, the CNCCI stated that the attack was a direct assault on the peace, stability and sense of security that the people of Nagaland have painstakingly nurtured over the years.

“The people of Nagaland have endured decades of hardship and conflict and have collectively embraced the path of peace, dialogue and development. No individual or group should be allowed to derail this hard-earned peace through such senseless acts of violence,” the statement said.

The chamber emphasized that lasting peace is indispensable for economic growth, employment generation, investment, tourism and the overall progress of Nagaland.

The CNCCI urged law enforcement and investigating agencies to leave no stone unturned in identifying, apprehending and bringing the perpetrators of the heinous crime to justice. It also expressed confidence that the authorities, who have already intensified the investigation, will ensure those responsible are held accountable in accordance with the law.

Calling for unity, the CNCCI said the people of Nagaland would not allow the state’s hard-earned peace to be hijacked by such acts of violence. It appealed to every citizen to cooperate with the authorities and collectively uphold peace, harmony and the rule of law.
