Alobo Naga Appointed Director of NEZCC, Dimapur for Three-Year Term

Dimapur, July 8: Renowned Naga singer-songwriter and cultural advocate Alobo Naga has been appointed Director of the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Dimapur, for a three-year term, marking a significant transition from the music stage to a key cultural leadership role.

According to a notification issued by the Governor’s Secretariat, the appointment was made with the approval of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Alobo Naga has been appointed on a short-term contract for a period of three years.

During his tenure, he will draw the pay and allowances admissible to the post of Director under the Government of India.

Alobo Naga is widely recognized for his contributions to music, cultural promotion, and the preservation of Naga heritage. His appointment is expected to strengthen the promotion of the rich cultural traditions of the Northeast through the NEZCC.
