Kohima, October 15 : Nagaland’s Tourism Minister Temjen Imna Along has spotlighted the picturesque Dzükou Valley as a prime focus for world-class tourism development.
Speaking at the ongoing State Tourism Ministers’ Meet in Udaipur, Rajasthan, the Minister underscored the valley’s pristine natural beauty and deep cultural significance, describing it as one of the Northeast’s most iconic landscapes.
Temjen Imna Along proposed Dzükou Valley as Nagaland’s official nomination under the “Development of 50 Tourist Destinations of Global Standards” initiative, a national programme aimed at elevating India’s top destinations to international benchmarks.
The proposal envisions a transformative ₹250-crore development plan, including the construction of an eco-friendly luxury hotel, enhanced tourist facilities, and supporting infrastructure to improve accessibility and visitor experience — all while ensuring the preservation of the valley’s fragile ecosystem.
