Indian Army Launches Youth Outreach Campaign in NagalandDimapur

In a bid to inspire the youth of Nagaland to join the Indian Armed Forces, the Army Recruitment Office, Rangapahar, has launched an extensive awareness campaign across the state.The initiative, which focuses on both Officer-level recruitment and the Agniveer intake under the Agnipath scheme, included seminars and information drives in several leading educational institutions. On June 18, sessions were held at Oriental College, Mount Olive College, and Alder College in Kohima. A follow-up event was conducted at St. Xavier College, Jalukie, in Peren District, on July 19. The Jalukie program was graced by Lieutenant General Abhijit Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding of Spear Corps, and DIG of 6 Sector Assam Rifles, reflecting the Army’s commitment to engaging youth from the region.
