Dimapur, August 23: MGM College successfully conducted its 2nd Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Meeting of the academic year at the College Auditorium, with enthusiastic participation from parents, faculty, students, and the management.
The meeting, chaired by PTA President Mrs. Thungbeni, opened with a welcome address from General Secretary Benjamin, who highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts between teachers and parents.
Principal Dr. R.K. Behera presented a detailed report on academic progress, extracurricular achievements, and new initiatives aimed at holistic student growth. Administrator Fr. George stressed the need for academic excellence, discipline, and joint responsibility in shaping student success.
Faculty members discussed classroom engagement, performance monitoring, and mentorship strategies, while parents shared valuable suggestions on curriculum load, exam schedules, and infrastructure improvements. A review of the action points from the 1st PTA meeting showed notable progress, with new proposals adopted to strengthen student support services.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Thungbeni, appreciating the united spirit of cooperation and reaffirming the PTA’s commitment to nurturing student success through strong parent-teacher partnerships.
